If QuikTrip believed it would penalized for selling lottery tickets to minors, it would ensure clerks complied with the law. If QuikTrip did not believe it would be penalized for selling tobacco to minors, compliance would go down.

Re: Top 7 Coasterthon Riding Tips

My kids talked me into season passes to our nearest amusement park this year. MJ was always a positive role model - the poster child of hard work, loyalty and appreciating what you have. We still celebrate Jordan around here, not just on his milestone birthdays :)

Re: Stop Using The “IRL” Acronym Already

IRL stemmed from fictional worlds on the internet (MMORPGS, for example), or even role-players. Where who you are in the game isn't necessarily who you are "in real life." I play WoW. If we're in game and somebody asks me, "What do you do?" I say, "I'm a miner and skinner," because "you" in game is referring to your in-game character. By asking, "What do you do IRL?" I know they are asking about my life outside of game, so I respond, "Web Developer."

It is still a very relevant term, imho, but one that can easily be abused and over-used, and only applies to certain situations.

Re: Pricey Packaging – Monster Mangles the Metrics

Cool looking packing, but I just find their methods a bit odd... so, I concur with your agreement that it stinks!

Re: Pricey Packaging – Monster Mangles the Metrics

I have never tried Monster, but I've always been attracted to their packing. I am regularly astounded at how many establishments ignore their most loyal customers.I think Foursquare is trying to combat this by revealing our full names in the app, but that will make many users uncomfortable. What do you think of Foursquare revealing full names of its users, Dwayne?

Re: 12 Days of Christmas… My Foursquare Gave To Me…

I agree with your Superuser upgrade wishes.
